After graduating in 1961 I went into the newspaper field as a pressman
at the local newspaper "The Daily Eagle" now known as "The
Eagle-Times". I worked in the field for about 35 years before
seeking less stressful employment. I am currently working with a local
vending company, "Newmont Vending" as a service technician
where I've been for the last 7 years.
I married my first wife, Rose Pascarelli, in 1962 and we had 3 children
- Don Jr. who is 41; Jennifer 36; and Michael 34. We divorced and I
remarried in 1975 to Debbie Fortin (class of 1973). We have two
children, Alyssa 30 and Joshua 27 and have been married for almost 31
years. We own an 18 acre farm on Strand Road in West Claremont and have
lived there for the past 30 years. We also own a second home in town
which our son is currently living in.
I currently have 8 grandchildren.
My hobbies include hunting, 4 wheeling, golf and my newest love - metal
detecting. I have gone on 4 trips to the Caribbean over the past 2
years with a group of metal detectorist and will be making another trip
in July to the Cayman Islands.
