After graduation from Stevens High School in 1961 I went to work at the Claremont Daily Eagle newspaper where I worked for 6 years in the composing room. In 1967 moved to Binghamton, New York worked for Vail Ballou the 8th largest book printer in the world. I worked there till 1970 and then married and moved to Denison Texas where I continued working in the printing trade. After 8 years of marriage, and no children I divorced and moved to Fort Worth Texas and worked at Star Telegram. In 1975, I moved to Salem, Oregon and went to work for the Statesman Journal newspaper.
In 1991 I changed professions and went into heating air conditioning, I have been in the air conditioning heating business for 15 years, I have done projects nation wide traveling extensively from 1993 thru 2003 working on projects in the US in over 34 states. The closest project to New Hampshire that I worked on was a 115 unit retirement community in Portland, Maine . I have also worked on projects in Canada (Calgary) Alberta (Moosejaw) Saskatchewan Victoria Island Vancouver Canada and Maui Hawaii.
Got burned out on all the traveling and have been working out of the home office here in Salem Oregon since 2003, with only occasional jobs in California and Washington.
Currently we have projects going in Manchester, Connecticut Charleston, SC two in Texas and several in California. I am a senior technician in charge of training at this point in time.
I have been with my significant other Laura since 1991. We also have a Shih Tzu (dog) spoiled rotten. We have a fixer upper house in Grants Pass Oregon that we are working on and plan to retire there in the next couple years.
I will not be able to attend the class reunion this year.
