Rosemary LeClair Clark 1961-2006
After graduation I went to Connecticut to live with my sister and look
for a job. I was hired by SNET. I moved into an apartment in, Hartford
with a couple of friends.
I met my husband and we got married, and in the years to follow we had three children, two boys and a daughter.
We purchased a home in East Hartford.
Over the years it was the usual, drum lessons, dancing lessons, boy
-scout and cub-scout meetings and plenty of school activities, PTO, etc.
I worked at odd jobs, Caldors, and with the East Hartford school
system. Then I applied for a job with UTC, I worked for three different
entities of UTC, first Otis Elevator as a telex switchboard operator,
then was transferred to Pratt & Whitney, then again was transferred
to Hamilton Sundstrand, then in 2002 I retired with over 22 years of
service.
While working at P&W, I went to Manchester Community Collage and
worked toward getting a degree. I finished all my credits for an
associate's degree and received my degree in the spring of 2001.
In the interim years we traveled a lot with our youngest son around New
England, while he raced moto cross. After he gave that up he then took
up micro sprint racecars. He married, it was then with both he and his
wife, we went along as crewmembers for them both. (She was the better
racer.)
I have four grandchildren, Kevin, Benjamin, Ligeia and Matthew, whom I greatly enjoy.
The racing is still on tap, along with hockey and robotics with the oldest grandsons.
