SHS'61 From: OMaureen43@aol.com Sent: Fri 11/06/09 2:52 PM Hello Classmates, I hope this letter finds you all well, happy and content. We would love to hear news from any of you. For example, lucky Ginger Chamberlain Boughton is going to California in December, will watch the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, then go on a cruise through the Panama Canal. Some of us met for lunch in June, after the Alumni Parade: Ron Bodge, Ron Brown, Betty Buinicky Donovan, Scott Fitz, Squeak Tucker Forte, Bob Kittredge, Simone Hardy Johnson, Shirley Davis Stern, Joanne Smith Schyner, Russell Bastian; followed by some of us spending the afternoon at the home of Joan Klementowicz Slade. In 2010, Alumni Day will be June 12th. We need to start getting somewhat serious about planning our 50th reunion. So, I hope more people will try to come to our lunch gathering on Alumni Day, and/or please send in any ideas you might have, and if you will be able to help more when the time comes. In relation to our 50th reunion, my usual request: if you have any extra money you would like to donate to the class fund, even $10 or $20, it would be appreciated. Only 28 out of 108 class members have contributed so far. We know that times are hard for a lot of people, but we still hope to hear from more of you, and especially those who made pledges. In my spring letter, I will let you know how much the class has in this account. Dave Hale has been asked to be the webmaster for the SHSAA website (he will not leave our class website! In fact, he just added Wayne Gonyea's 50s music. Check it out.) If you have ANY concerns about either website, please email Dave at: nh_hales@hotmail.com Dave would appreciate any feedback, and if there is anyone who would like to be a "good critic", to assist him in making decisions and possible changes to the websites, please let Dave know. Also, if you want to include anything on our class website, just ask Dave. "Anything" could be: Funniest grandkids remarks/incidents (photos?) Stretching budget ideas Travelogues Job ads? I hope to hear from some of you. Happy Holidays to all, Maureen O'Donnell
